Refund policy

■ Order cancellation / changes (before shipment)
If there is an error in your order or you wish to cancel, please contact Customer Support within 10 minutes after order confirmation. No fee applies in this case.
If more than 10 minutes have passed, you must contact Customer Support to request cancellation or changes. A ¥700 cancellation fee may apply.
Once an order status becomes “Preparing for shipment” or “Shipped,” due to system limitations, your cancellation/change request may not be reflected in time and the item may still ship.
In such cases, if the cancellation request has been accepted, we will refund the payment, but a fee may apply. When the product arrives, please return it within 8 days.
If we cancel due to store reasons (e.g., out of stock, unable to ship, fraud prevention / resale prevention, etc.), no cancellation fee will be charged.
※ We do not accept changes to the billing address (see Shipping Policy). If needed, please cancel and place a new order.
■ Defective items / wrong shipment
If the product is defective or you received the wrong item, please email info@overcoat.jp within 8 days of delivery with:
- Order number
- Photos clearly showing the issue (damage/defect area, etc.)
After review, we will proceed with one of the following:
a) Reship a new item free of charge
b) Issue a refund if the same item is out of stock
c) Issue a refund if you prefer
※ In these cases, return shipping and reshipping costs will be fully covered by us.
■ Returns due to customer convenience
Even if unopened, if you wish to return an item for reasons such as “not as expected,” the following conditions apply:
- Contact us within 8 days of delivery
- Item must be unused and unopened
- A ¥700 return handling fee will be charged
- Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility
- Sale and outlet items are not eligible for return
■ Exchanges
- Customer convenience: we do not offer exchanges. Please return the item and place a new order.
- Defect / wrong shipment: we will exchange for the correct item free of charge. If out of stock, a refund will be issued.
■ Refund processing
When a cancellation/return is approved, refunds are processed according to the payment method.

Refund flow:
- We request the refund from the payment provider
- The card company/payment service processes it
- Typically appears on your statement within 3–10 business days
※ Depending on closing dates and processing timing, it may be offset against the next billing cycle.
[Convenience store payment (prepaid)]
Because it differs from card refunds, we handle it as follows.
Payment deadline (important):
Convenience store payment expires 1 day (24 hours) after order confirmation. After the deadline, payment cannot be made and the order will be automatically canceled.

Cancellation before payment
- No refund occurs (no payment was made).
- We will cancel the order.

Cancellation/return after payment (when eligible for a refund)
- In principle, refunds will be made via bank transfer.
Please provide the following information: - Bank name
- Branch name
- Account type (ordinary/current: 普通/当座)
- Account number
- Account holder name (Katakana)

After confirming your account details, we typically transfer the refund within 3–10 business days.
※ Timing may vary due to bank holidays and processing conditions.
※ Any convenience store payment fees may be non-refundable depending on the payment service’s rules (in such cases, the refundable amount may be limited to the product price only).
■ Refund delays / not reflected
If you cannot confirm your refund, please check the following:

- Your card/wallet/payment statement
- Whether there is any incorrect information
- Contact your card company/payment service support
[Convenience store payment refunded by bank transfer]
- Whether the bank details you provided are correct
- Your bank account transaction history (incoming transfer record)
- Whether bank holidays occurred during the period

■ Sale / outlet items
Sale and outlet items are not eligible for return or refund for any reason. This applies only to regular-priced products.
■ Return address
All returns must be sent within 8 days to the following address using cash on delivery (着払い – Chakubarai):
