Bruno Prado

Bruno Prado, the founder of OVERcoat, has been active in the car detailing industry for over 20 years.

He is one of the pioneers who introduced Japanese coating technology to the international market, and his extensive experience and knowledge are at the core of OVERcoat’s product development.
“Car care should be simpler. I want it to become the new standard—something anyone can do.”

With this vision in mind, he continues to develop products from a hands-on perspective, staying close to the real-world needs of car care.

From our beginnings to where we are now

It all started with a simple idea: to make car washing easier and more enjoyable.

Here, we share the journey of how OVERcoat was born—through countless prototypes, product launches, and the steps that led us to where we are today.

2011~2017

Bringing Japanese coating to the world

As more professionals overseas began showing interest in Japanese technology, Bruno took on the role of a bridge between cultures.
Through seminars and hands-on training, he helped share the quality and appeal of Japanese car care with the world.

2018~2021

Car care made for everyone

It all began with a simple question:
Can we create products that not only professionals, but anyone can use easily and still get great results?
This sparked the start of our own testing and development process—aiming to deliver simple, effective, and efficient car care for everyone.

2022

OVERcoat is born

The "OVERcoat" brand is officially launched in Japan.
It quickly gains attention as a new approach to car care—combining ease of use, efficiency, and stunning results.

2023~2024

No.1 in sales — paving the way for product line expansion

The very first "OVERcoat" product reached No.1 in sales in Amazon’s car coating category.
This milestone led to the launch of several new series: the pH Series, the Final Touch Series, and in 2024, the world’s first foam-based ceramic coating—"OVERcoat ULTRAviolet".
Delivering powerful water repellency and a smooth, even layer, it introduced a completely new coating experience.

2025~Today

To the world. Toward a new standard in car care.

After earning trust in the domestic market, OVERcoat is now stepping onto the global stage.
By lowering the barrier to advanced technology, we aim to create a future where truly great products are accessible to everyone.
