Do not ingest. Keep out of reach of children. Wear protective gloves before use. OVERcoat Japan is not responsible for any injury caused by incorrect usage of this product. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water. If any abnormal symptoms occur, seek medical advice. Do not use on deteriorated clear coat, glass, or wheels (with cracks, scratches, or peeling paint). Do not use on genuine leather. Do not leave the product sitting for a long time without rinsing. Avoid use on windy days, under direct sunlight, or when the vehicle’s surface is hot. Do not use for purposes other than intended. Before use, remove the stopper on the back of the spray nozzle. After use, reattach the stopper and store the bottle upright. Do not store inside the vehicle or in the trunk. Keep away from direct sunlight, temperatures above 40°C, or areas where it may freeze. This product has no expiration date, but we recommend using it within 6 to 12 months after opening. When disposing, use up all contents before discarding.

What is OVERcoat Surface PREP?

Will it remove old coatings completely?
It can remove loose, non-bonded coatings, waxes, and oils from the surface. However, hardened ceramic coatings require polishing or mechanical removal.
What’s the difference between Surface PREP and an APC?
Surface PREP is formulated specifically to prepare surfaces for coatings without leaving residue. While APCs clean well, they can leave behind surfactants that interfere with coating adhesion.
Do I need to rinse after using it?
No rinsing is needed. Just spray, wipe with a microfiber towel, and follow with a clean, dry towel. Make sure the surface is fully dry before applying a coating.
Does it have a strong smell?
Not at all. OVERcoat Surface PREP has a fresh, clean fragrance—nothing like the harsh solvent smell of traditional degreasers.
Can I use it under direct sunlight or on a hot surface?
It’s not recommended. Always apply in the shade and on cool surfaces for best results.
Should I shake the bottle before use?
Yes. We recommend shaking gently before each use to ensure consistent performance.
Do I need to wash the car before using this product?
Yes, we recommend using the product on clean surfaces—especially on paint or plastic—to avoid scratches or uneven results.
However, for light cleaning of exterior glass, it can be used even if the surface is slightly dirty.
