FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How should I apply GLASS RESET correctly?
After washing the car at least once, make sure the glass is free of dust. Moisten the applicator (or spray water on the glass if using a machine), apply the product onto the applicator, and spread it evenly over the surface. If it starts to dry, re-moisten the applicator. Spread well and wipe off excess with a damp microfiber cloth. You can also use Surface PREP to remove residues. Repeat if necessary.
Can I apply directly to the glass or do I need a specific applicator?
It is best to apply with an applicator or a soft finishing buff. For manual use, we recommend a 3-layer EVA applicator or a microfiber applicator.
How many cloths/applicators do I need?
One applicator is enough. Use one damp cloth to remove excess. If the cloth becomes saturated, replace it.
Should I use circular or straight motions?
Start with straight motions to spread evenly. Use circular motions for stubborn stains.
Can I use it under sunlight?
Always apply in the shade, in a controlled environment, with the car cool.
Can the product be used on all types of automotive glass?
GLASS RESET can be used onall standard exterior automotive glass.
⚠️ Do not use on plastic parts (e.g., headlights), film-tinted glass, factory water-repellent glass, or interior glass surfaces.
Can I use it on windshields with rain sensors?
Yes.
Can it be applied to side mirrors and panoramic roofs?
Yes, except mirrors with film.
Do I need to repeat the process on heavily stained glass?
Yes, depending on the level of contamination.
What is the difference between GLASS RESET and Final Touch GLASS?
GLASS RESET: compound that removes oil films and stubborn stains.
Final Touch GLASS: hydrophobic coating applied afterward, for water repellency and protection.
After using GLASS RESET, do I need to reapply a glass coating?
Yes. GLASS RESET removes all repellency, leaving the glass ready for coating application.
Is the effect permanent or does it require maintenance?
Not permanent. Perform periodically when buildup appears. For maintenance, wash with 3pH shampoos and dry properly.
How long does the result last before new stains appear?
If washed and dried properly, the glass stays clean for a long time.
Can I use regular shampoos afterward?
Yes. We recommend OVERcoat Neutral pH or OVERcoat Surface PREP.
Does the product scratch the glass?
No, but it may highlight pre-existing scratches (often caused by old wipers). We recommend replacing wiper blades every 6 months.
Can it damage rubber, plastics, or surrounding paint?
We recommend masking surrounding areas with tape before application.
Is the smell strong? Can it be used indoors?
The smell is not strong. It can be used indoors.
Do I need gloves or a mask?
We recommend gloves, as the product is slightly alkaline.
